Description
Wax is not a finish on bare timber and we would rather say so — it goes over oil, shellac or a cured film, and it is what gives a surface the feel people are actually after.
A thin application buffed out after twenty minutes. Thick wax never hardens and collects dust, which is the whole of what goes wrong with it.
The tin is a wide shallow pan rather than a tall pot, so you can load a folded cloth flat instead of scraping a ring out of the top.
