Description
Harness leather is oiled through rather than surface-dressed, so it takes a soaking and dries without going hard. It will darken unevenly where it is handled, which is the point of buying leather.
Pockets are graded, deepest at one end, and the flap folds over the tips before the roll is closed so nothing walks out of a pocket in a bag. The buckle is a solid brass roller, not a stamped plate.
Stitching is linen thread in a saddle stitch, which means a cut thread stays put instead of unzipping the row the way a machine lock stitch does. A worn pocket can be restitched by hand.
