Description
The thumbwheel is the part that decides whether a caliper is any use. A stiff one makes you push, and pushing closes the jaws past the work and gives you a reading that is a hundredth under every time.
Four measurements from one tool: outside, inside, step and depth. It zeroes anywhere along the beam, so a difference can be read directly without doing the subtraction.
Takes a standard coin cell that you can buy anywhere, and it switches off by itself after five minutes.
