Description
Two metals because one does not cover it. Brass is softer than most of what you will use it on, so it lifts scale and old finish off bronze, copper and soft steel without cutting the surface underneath. Steel cuts, and sometimes cutting is the job.
Both have the wire set in a hardwood block rather than a folded metal channel, which stops the rows loosening the first time the brush is used wet.
Keep them apart. Steel wire dragged across a brass brush transfers and the brass stops being a soft brush.
