Description
A bar clamp pulls the work toward the bar and puts a bow in anything wide. Parallel jaws do not, which is the only reason to own them for panel work.
Jaw faces are a hard polymer that glue does not key to — squeeze-out pops off dry rather than needing a chisel. The handles are set at an angle so your knuckles clear the bar when the clamp is nearly closed.
The bar is a deep section rather than a round tube, which is what resists the twist that puts a wind in a panel. You can also stand a clamp on its foot and use it as a third hand while the glue is open.
