Description
Cut foam rather than a moulded tray. Every instrument sits in its own recess, which means you can see at a glance that something is still on the bench instead of finding out a week later.
Satin finish throughout for the same reason the rules are satin: a polished face under a bench lamp is unreadable at working angle. The case is a rigid shell with a piano hinge and two draw catches.
The foam is cut, not die-pressed, so the recesses can be trimmed with a knife if you add a tool of your own. Most cased sets make that impossible and the extra piece ends up loose in the lid.
